You have a right to know what’s in your beer, which is why our thirteen core beer brands are Non-GMO Project Verified. Recently, we’ve added Tart-Cherry Berliner Weisse to this list, and we’re pursuing verification status for all our seasonal beers.
#3 We’re Working with a Local Farm to Reverse Our Carbon Footprint
We believe that sequestering carbon is the most significant thing we can do to address climate change and protect the health of our oceans and planet. By composting spent grain and hops at our partner farm and studying the impacts, we’re finding new ways to reduce our carbon footprint.
#4 Our Brewery is Proud to be Zero Waste Platinum Certified
Our brewery earned TRUE Zero Waste Certification in 2017 by diverting 99.36% of all solid waste from landfills thanks to our carbon farming program and innovative ideas from employees, like securing kegs with giant rubber bands instead of plastic wrap.
#5 Energy Efficiency
North Coast Brewing Company ranks in the top 25% of all craft breweries for energy efficiency. Since June 2013, our solar array has saved CO2 emissions equivalent to burning 41,682 gallons of gasoline.
#6 Our Ocean-Friendly IPA Supports Marine Conservation
North Coast Steller IPA provides direct support for marine mammal research and rescue along the Pacific Coast. For every case or keg sold, we are proud to make a contribution to the North Coast Marine Mammal Fund, which supports crucial ocean conservation organizations.
