North Coast Brewing Company is honored and proud to be named a 2019 Best for the World Environment Honoree by B Lab. Best for the World Environment Honorees represent the top-performing B Corporations that are taking bold action to preserve the world’s most precious resources. Honorees put the planet first with environmentally-friendly practices and consider the impact of their everyday footprint, including energy usage, materials, facilities, supply chain, and more. This follows North Coast Brewing’s 2018 honor as a Best for the World Changemaker. 

Each year, B Lab recognizes B Corporations creating the greatest impact through their businesses. Honorees are recognized for having the highest environmental, community, customer, worker and overall impact by earning a score in the top 10% on the B Impact Assessment.

North Coast Brewing’s 2019 Best for the World Environment Honoree can be attributed to its wide-reaching, impressive efforts in sustainability and philanthropy through its One Pint at a Time Initiative. This initiative was launched in July and shines a light on all of North Coast Brewing’s efforts to make the world a better place, one a pint at a time. From carbon farming to support of marine mammal research and rescue, North Coast Brewing is dedicated to operating in an environmentally-friendly manner and creating positive change.

B Lab verifies the social and environmental performance, transparency and accountability of all companies it certifies. This process has revolutionized how North Coast Brewing defines and measures success, allowing it to make sustainably crafted, award-winning beer while contributing to the betterment of people and the natural environment. Every year, the brewery’s Board of Directors reviews its triple-bottom line performance, ensuring that it lives up to its intentions to be good for people, planet and profit.
